Water Condensation Caused This?

One morning I looked up at my ceiling in Barnesville and saw a soggy mess! I wasn’t sure what could be causing the water leaking above as there were no pipes or plumbing in that area of the house. I called SERVPRO® of Moorhead, and they came out quickly to assess and repair the damage.

My air conditioner unit had a clogged condensate drain line! (Who knew that this was even a thing?) I also found out that I’m not supposed to run the air conditioner while there are open windows in the house as this will cause water condensation in the air conditioning unit, which can spill off of the drain pan and cause water damage to happen.

Thankfully the water restoration technicians were able to repair and restore the damage to my ceiling, and by the time the repairs were completed a couple of days later, you couldn’t tell there had ever been water damage at all.
